Help with My Plant Planner.

My Plant Planner helps you check soil cues, save a simple plant routine, and avoid watering on autopilot. This page covers the most common setup and troubleshooting questions.

How to get help

For My Plant Planner support, email the issue, device, iOS version or browser, and app version if relevant. The most common fixes are checking notification permission, confirming the next check date is in the future, or resetting local app data when a test routine needs to be cleared.

Contact support

Email myplantplanner@promptaralab.com with your device, iOS version or browser, app version if relevant, what you expected to happen, and what happened instead.

Supported devices

  • Website: current desktop and mobile browsers.
  • iOS app: iPhone with iOS 17.0 or later.
  • The iOS app is portrait-first and does not currently include iPad, Android, Apple Watch, accounts, or cloud sync.

Common questions

  • The iOS app works offline for the core plant routine because data is stored locally on your device.
  • No account is required for the iOS app.
  • Version 1.0 does not identify plants from photos and does not use location or weather.
  • There are no in-app purchases or subscriptions in Version 1.0.

Notifications

  • The iOS app asks for notification permission only when you enable reminders for a plant.
  • If reminders do not appear, check iOS Settings, confirm reminders are enabled for the plant, and confirm the next check date is in the future.
  • You can still use the app if notification permission is denied.

Local data and reset

  • Plant routines, check history, and reminder preferences are stored locally on your device.
  • Delete an individual plant from its detail screen.
  • Use Settings > Reset Local Data to remove local app data.
  • Deleted local data cannot be recovered unless a future sync feature is added.

Known limitations

  • No cloud sync or cross-device history.
  • No plant photo identification.
  • No location or weather-based care adjustments.
  • Advice is a practical watering check routine, not a guarantee of plant health.
