Privacy policy summary
This privacy policy explains how My Plant Planner handles iOS app data, website guide signups, calculator information, analytics, notifications, and deletion requests. The iOS app stores the core plant routine locally on your device, while website forms may store the details you submit so the requested guide, calculator result, or product update can be provided.
iOS app data
The My Plant Planner iOS app stores your plant routine locally on your device. This may include plant type, optional nickname, care settings, check dates, local check history, and reminder preferences. Version 1.0 does not require an account and does not transmit your plant routine to My Plant Planner servers.
You can delete an individual plant in the app or use Settings > Reset Local Data to remove app-local routine data. Removing the app also removes app-local data according to iOS behavior.
Notifications
The iOS app asks for notification permission only if you choose to enable plant reminders. Notifications are scheduled locally to remind you to check a plant. You can use the core app without notification permission.
Website guide signups
When you request a free guide, My Plant Planner collects and stores the email address you enter, the guide slug, the signup source, the consent version, and whether you opted into occasional product updates. The PDF is delivered directly on the website after the signup is saved.
If you choose the optional updates checkbox, your email may be used for occasional My Plant Planner updates. If you do not choose it, your email is stored as a record of the guide signup.
Calculator and early access forms
The watering calculator may store plant type, light, pot size, season, indoor climate, calculated check windows, and optional email capture details when you join early access or vote for a future feature.
Storage and analytics
Signup and calculator data is stored in the project’s Supabase database. My Plant Planner also uses privacy-conscious site analytics for product events such as guide page views, signup results, and download clicks. Email addresses and subscriber IDs are not sent to web analytics.
Deletion and questions
To ask about stored information or request deletion, email myplantplanner@promptaralab.com.
